Trace Consulting Group Ltd. (TCG) comprises a diverse team of consulting engineers proficient in various disciplines. Established in 2015, TCG has diligently catered to the Multi-residential, commercial, retail, institutional, and industrial sectors. Our expertise lies in capital system and equipment replacements, retrofits, renovations, tenant fit-outs, and new construction projects.

In 2022, we created a sister company, Trace Fire Group Ltd. (TFG), to expand our fire consulting and testing services. This development allows us to provide an even wider range of services to our clients, including smoke control testing, fire alarm and sprinkler supervisory verification, and S1001 integrated systems testing.
Moreover, as part of our commitment to growth and expanding our reach, we further expanded to offer engineering and project management services in select provinces across Canada, including British Columbia, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, Alberta, and Quebec. We are dedicated to serving clients in these regions with the same dedication and expertise that defines TCG's approach.

Meet the Leadership Team
Sam Soltani
President

Sam Soltani, P.Eng, C.Eng, serves as the President of Trace Consulting Group Ltd. (TCG) and, since 2022, Trace Fire Group Ltd. (TFG). With a wealth of knowledge and experience spanning various projects, Sam specializes in design, project management, litigations, and investigations within the engineering field. He has authored articles on a range of Building System topics and is frequently retained as an expert witness in litigation cases. He is currently a designated Professional Engineer (P.Eng) and a Consulting Engineer (C.Eng) as defined by the professional engineers of Ontario. He is also LEED® Accredited.
Sam's expertise extends to Multi-unit residential and commercial buildings, as well as retail and industrial sectors. He has played a pivotal role in consulting on numerous large-scale projects, guiding them from initial investigation phases to final completion stages. Regarded as a hands-on consultant with a strong focus on customer service, Sam oversees and involved in both TCG and TFG.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Sam remains actively engaged in the construction industry. He dedicates his time to volunteering for CAI Canada's advocacy and education committees, and serves as an active director on a condominium's board of directors.

Sarah Hinchcliffe
Sarah has extensive experience as an engineer and project manager, responsible for coordinating all aspects of design, tendering, and construction administration of mechanical systems for new buildings, tenant improvements and retrofit projects for commercial, retail, residential and institutional sectors. She specializes in investigations and retrofit applications. Sarah is also experienced in assessment and reporting on the condition of mechanical and electrical infrastructure for residential high-rise, low-rise, and townhouses for condominium and non-profit clients, as well as condition assessments for commercial and industrial properties.

Kaezad Wania
P. Eng.
Kaezad Wania, is an Associate Director of Mechanical Engineering and Team Lead at TCG. He has more than 5 years of industry experience and specializes in mechanical building services. Over the course of Kaezad’s career, he has been involved with and managed multiple retrofit projects for high and low-rise residential and commercial properties including HVAC-R and plumbing investigations, design and replacement of capital equipment and systems, and tenant improvement projects.

With more than 25 years of electrical engineering experience, Joe has worked in a diverse range of project delivery methods and project sectors. He has successfully delivered new construction, renovation and retrofit projects in the Educational, Commercial, Healthcare, Retail, Residential, Industrial and Pharmaceutical sectors. Joe brings his own style of energetic enthusiasm to his projects to help our clients strive for quality, sustainable and cost-effective solutions.

Lisa is a highly experienced professional in the field of finance and administration, currently serving as the Director of Finance & Administration at TCG. With over 8 years of industry experience and a decade of expertise in finance and administration, Lisa plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the company's financial operations. With a strong background in accounting and administration within the Architecture & Engineering industry, she brings valuable knowledge and meticulous attention to detail to her role. Her exceptional organizational skills and dedication to excellence contribute to the efficient operation of the company.
